Occupy Data is a subgroup of Occupy Research, with the aim of analyzing and visualizing datasets related to the Occupy movement. We mainly organize hackathons, where teams of people worked on separate projects, with the goal of using free and open source tools to generate visualizations and other resources pertinent to the Occupy movement and the issues it has raised. Read more about previous projects, get inspired about what you might like to work on occupydatanyc.org or occupyresearch.net.

We hold and support many activities along the lines of Green Culture, Permaculture, Free Culture, and are working on establishing a community center to pursue the transition from today's "Silicon Valley" to tomorrow's Green Tek Valley. Translating the Transition Town and Occupy movements into sustainable reality in the San Jose Metro area. Since 1992 HeartBeat Earth has been "occupying" Santa Clara County with actions on local environmental, quality of life and positive spirituality issues.
