I started this group to facilitate discussion and debate, to get people talking with people they do not know, to improve public discourse and, in that way, promote democracy.

Volunteering is something many of us enjoy! Sometimes though we spend more time looking for something to do than doing anything, so if you are particularly seeking others to socialize with and find opportunities, then occupy the message board on this site.
